Islam Religious Hierarchy consists of two traditional branches which are termed as Sunni and Shia; both of these share and follow the basic principles and tenets of the Islam but with increase in the strife of politics in Islam family, the differences and divisions between both Sunni and Shia got increased with passage of time after the death of Prophet Muhammad. Majority of the beliefs, traditions and thoughts of both the divisions are same in Islam Religious Hierarchy but there are few differences like in Shia, it is considered that Prophet Muhammad’s son in law Ali is his successor whereas in Sunni, it is believed that Prophet Muhammad’s close friend Abu Bakr is his successor. The offshoot religion for Shia is Baha’i whereas the offshoot religion for Sunni is Ahmedi, also termed as Ahmadiyya. Also temporary marriage is allowed in Shia where as it is strictly prohibited in Sunni.
